Stereo Camera-based Intelligence Surveillance System

چکیده
In this paper, a stereo camera-based video surveillance system using pan/tilt controller is suggested and implemented. Some experiments with video images for 3 moving persons show that a person could be identified with these extracted height and stride parameters. Camera Arrangement in Visual 3D Systems using Iso-disparity Model to Enhance Depth Estimation Accuracy
In this paper we address the problem of automatic arrangement of cameras in a 3D system to enhance the performance of depth acquisition procedure. Lacking ground truth or a priori information, a measure of uncertainty is required to assess the quality of reconstruction. The mathematical model of iso-disparity surfaces provides an efficient way to estimate the depth estimation uncertainty which ...
متن کاملA Smart Camera Mote Architecture for Distributed Intelligent Surveillance
Surveillance is one of the promising applications to which smart camera motes forming a vision-enabled network can add increasing levels of intelligence. We see a high degree of in-node processing in combination with distributed reasoning algorithms as the key enablers for such intelligent surveillance systems. To put these systems into practice still requires a considerable amount of research ...
متن کاملRemoval of Adherent Waterdrops from Images Acquired with a Stereo Camera System
In this paper, we propose a new method that can remove view-disturbing noises from stereo images. One of the thorny problems in outdoor surveillance by a camera is that adherent noises such as waterdrops on the protecting glass surface lens disturb the view from the camera. Therefore, we propose a method for removing adherent noises from stereo images taken with a stereo camera system. Our meth...
متن کاملVisually Guided Mobile Robots
Our mobile robots use trinocular stereo sensors to sense their environment, navigate around obstacles in a dynamic, unknown world and partner with humans in various tasks. Fundamental to these abilities is the capacity to build a map and locate themselves relative to it, while operating. Here we review a collection of methods that permit mobile robots to acquire spatial and visual maps of their...
